What Do You Do?!?!

OK ... so ... you suddenly realise that it's your Mother-In-Law's birthday TODAY - how did THAT happen?!?! I'm SURE it's NEXT week!! NOPE! It's TODAY ... and you haven't bought a giftie - GASP!! So ... What do you do??? You head for the sewing room because SURELY you can find some inspiration in there ... RIGHT?!?!

Hmmm ... what is there to work with ... OK ... first, you take a few left-over 2 1/2" squares and join them into rows ...

Not too bad ... now what? Let's join them all together and see how they look ...

That looks pretty good ... but not enough to make a matching side. Hmmm ... thinking cap back on and see what else is in the sewing room ...

OK ... the 'small-but-useful' scrap bag ... that could come in handy ... what else ...

... My embroidery thread box (note to self: still need a new one of these as this one is overflowing!!) and one of my fave books by the clever and talented Anni Downes ... OK ... the creative juices are flowing now! I know JUST what I'll do!!!

... But I can't show you yet, cos it's not finished! Tee! Hee! Hee! I know ... I'm such a TEASE! But I promise to show you the results of my burst of creativity as soon as I finish it - hopefully in time to be a finish on my OPAM Challenge list for August!! Hope you're all having a creative weekend too. Til next time -

Ooh, there's nothing like a tight deadline to get the creative adrenaline a rushing and a gushing!

Can't wait to see what you're making! :-)

Your threads all look so bright - my thread box is full of muted pastels - interesting! I'd never realised this before!
