The Adventure Begins!

For those of you who follow my blog regularly, you'd know that my Beloved Geek Boy & I have had a bit of a topsy turvy year, with changes to our grown up jobs that meant we had to postpone our holiday that we had planned for May, as well as heavier workload & more responsibility. Well ... Both jobs have settled down a bit giving us the chance to catch our breath.The ducks were finally herded into a row & today was the day we set off on our long-awaited holiday ... WOO! HOO!

The house sitters have been left with instructions, the bags were packed (& repacked, rearranged & juggled to fit! :0) ) ...

... Big Blue (GB's dual cab 4WD ute) was packed to the rafters ... Almost! :0) 

... And we were, to quote Willie Nelson ... On the road again! :0) We've been planning this road trip adventure for a while & are pretty excited. We're heading south ... A LOOOOONG way south! We've made it to Coonamble in western New South Wales today & we're enjoying the hospitality of Chookyblue & Mr Chooky. Our trip will take us to the bottom of Australia ... We'll explore the Great Ocean Road that follows the southern coast of Victoria & South Australia, spend some time in Adelaide, then head home via Broken Hill, Bourke & Lightning Ridge. We've got just over three weeks to fit everything in ... We're gonna be busy! :0) I won't always have the chance to, but I'll pop in as often as I can to share our adventures. Anyone in the south have quilting shop recommendations?! Tee! Hee! Hee!

But now I'm think I'm going to read for a while before I recharge the batteries ready for day two of our grand adventure ... Coming into NSW means we're now on daylight savings time & my body clock is confused. :0) Take care & stay tuned! Til next time ...
