As The Year Winds Down ...!!

Well ... here we are on the eve of a new year. 2014 was certainly a life-changing one for us at the Meares' Madhouse. It was exhausting, scary, exciting, frustrating, exhilarating, stressful, unbelievable, dream-achieving ... did I mention it was a BUSY year?!! Tee! Hee! Hee!

A huge thank you to all of you who have played a part  in our year ... some of you helped and supported us in 'real life', while so many others of you have sent cyber hugs. encouragement and well-wishes. They have all been appreciated and amidst such a roller-coaster year, we have been reminded time and time again of two things ... we have FANTASTIC family and friends supporting us ... and ... God has BLESSED us HUGELY! :0)

Who knows what 2015 has in store for us ... I sure wouldn't have guessed what's happened this year! :0) And I'm not one for New Years' Resolutions ... I'm not kidding anyone ... I'm probably NOT going to lose weight, exercise more, spend less, go to bed earlier or eat only healthy food. :0) However, I found something on Pinterest the other day that sums up some of my thoughts as we step across the finish line of 2014 into the new race of 2015 and I thought I'd share them with you.

* Love what you see in the mirror
* Make time for creativity
* Never say no to adventure
* Eat more green food (do spearmint leaf lollies count?? Tee! Hee! Hee!)
* Send snail mail
* Send hand-written thank you notes
* Buy less, choose well
* Give out too many compliments
* Travel whenever possible
* Be kind to strangers
* Volunteer your time and skills
* Take a cooking class
* Give the present of presence
* Learn from others
* Embrace simplicity

Now ... I know that some of those things will be easy for me and some will be more challenging, but it's sometimes good to remind ourselves of things we're already doing as an encouragement to do more of it and set ourselves some goals to work towards ... don't you think?! :0)

So as the clock ticks down on 2014 ... I wish you all, my blogging buddies, a very happy 2015. May 2015 hold for you lots of time with family and friends, lots of good health, lots of time to create, lots of laughs, lots of hugs and kisses ... and of course ... LOTS of FABRIC! :0) And I'll look forward to sharing 2015 with you all. If you're out and about to celebrate tonight, please take care, but we're just going to kick back and relax here at Edward House and soak up the country quiet. :0) Til next time ...

Happy New Year! You have already seen the new year come in but we still have to wait another 8 hours here in W. Canada. We have some really mild weather here at the moment (1C) but it is supposed to be quite cold by the weekend.

Bless you and Geek Boy so very, very much, Kris, and may His richest blessings and favour be upon you both during 2015!
I didn't get around many blogs last year so have only just realised you're in a new home. It's beautiful.

Lord Jesus, fill this special abode to overflowing with Your sweet presence. Be there to greet them each morning, and to tuck them in each night. Let your arms sustain them through the day and your rest through the evening hours. Let this be a year that is remembered for miracles of joy and delight. Shine brighter in their hearts than ever before, and use them to Your wonderful glory,
Amen
